PROLOGUE

Three years ago, I had an intense discussion with a long-time friend about whether Bitcoin was anything else but speculation. I was a committed supporter of moderate saving and investing and I was avoiding for anything new and speculative. Both of us probably believed they had won the debate, but in the same week my friend asked, "Have you heard about this Iota yet? What do you think about it?"

Against expectations It didn't take many days when I was a crypto investor and interest has continued to grow over the years. However, at the end of 2019, signs began to emerge that cryptocurrencies could actually reach technological levels in the next few years that could transform society as a whole. Such a technological breakthrough is seen only a few times in a person's life, and getting in early as an investor is much less common. The need arose to take it to the next level and begin to more systematically explore the broad field of cryptocurrencies. At the same time, there was a need to find others who were interested about it, as figuring out the whole field is simply too big a challenge for one hobbyist.

This blog was born in February 2020 in response to that need, and a nascent cryptocurrency group had already been born by then. First, I will try to look at the basics of investing in crypto for those who are not familiar with the subject. In addition, I try to analyze different technological solutions and their potential, cryptocurrency by cryptocurrency. Possibly later, the blog will get other sections and writers, but now the focus is on the fundamentals and technology of different cryptocurrencies.

For a fresh reader, you may be advised to start with the "IoT for Beginner" series, sections 1-4. Although focused on Iota, they also address the basic problems and starting points of cryptocurrency investing. After that it is advisable to read the Ethereum analysis, which also covers the basic principles of smart contracts. I strive to write about things as neutrally as possible, but at the same time, I admit that Iota glasses have grown tight on the nose over the years, and it's worth treating texts like anything in the cryptocurrency, with strong self-criticism and judgment.

Have a great read!
